Julia Gama is a Brazilian model, actress, and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned as Miss Universe Brazil 2020. She was born on January 18, 1993, in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Julia has a degree in international relations and also holds a post-graduate degree in strategic tourism management.
Before winning the Miss Universe Brazil title, Julia was a first runner-up at Miss Tourism International Brazil 2014 and Miss Mundo Brasil 2014. She also competed in the Miss Grand International 2014 pageant where she placed within the finalists.
Julia represented Brazil in the Miss Universe 2020 pageant, held on May 16, 2021, in Florida, USA, and finished as the first runner-up, losing the title to Andrea Meza from Mexico. She also won the award for best national costume and was highly praised for her performance in the competition.
Julia is not only a beauty pageant titleholder but also a social activist who works for the betterment of society and the environment. She supports various causes like women’s empowerment, LGBT rights, and environmental conservation.
